The Teeth Whitening Procedure
Whitening is carried out in the dental chair in around an hour, depending on how many applications are needed to bring the correct shade to your teeth.
Our first step to whitening your teeth is, Dr Martina will place a lip guard in your mouth to keep your mouth open and tongue away from the whitening gel that is to be placed. Next, she will apply a protective barrier to the gums to reduce irritation and sensitivity, and set that with a curing light. Then she will place the professional-strength whitening gel on the surfaces of the teeth and allow it to penetrate. This process can be repeated within the same visit up to three times to achieve the desired results.
In-chair whitening is often followed by a custom-made, take-home whitening kit professionally constructed to fit your teeth, and avoid your gums!.This allows the process to continue at home for the brightest results.
