What to Expect during the Dental Crown Procedure

When placing a crown, the procedure is similar whether you are receiving a single-unit crown or a bridge. Dr Lavery will prepare the tooth by removing decay as well as any damaged or unstable tooth structure. She will then take an impression of your teeth for the precise design of your crown. 

We will place a temporary crown to protect your damaged tooth while our local dental lab makes your final restoration. Once we receive your completed restoration, Dr Lavery will bond it to your tooth.

Dental Implants

For dental implants, no tooth preparation is required since your crown will attach directly to the implant or custom abutment. The crown will still match your smile, as Dr Lavery will ensure that the colour and shape complement your other teeth.
